Christmas has turned bittersweet It's been five years since we didn't meet I spent our last Christmas elsewhere Not knowing that you wouldn't be there The next year it came around Grief comes in waves and sound Will trigger every feeling Each memory a different sting I miss you I want you back I cannot listen to one track That played at the funeral Without breaking down Not being there the last time you were in town Thoughts spin for evermore Regrets and wishes rattling my core I never got the final chance to say I love you, every single day Life is wonderful yet sometimes bleak Making memories without you, week by week

Wyvern Rain Claws forming Wings erupting The soft pitter patter of drops on scales Will it fly Soar high above Passing through the rain up into the sky The drops are restless Their destination known Predictable and still cold A blessing for those parched down below Gravity pulling it down The beast braves it Drops mere gentle touches barely disturbing the creature Noting this day on his path A day like any others Crawling through the sky Land down under So many people to smother Slowly soaked and drenched in rain Crops thriving due to the reviving of the earth A howl pierces the graying sky Shocking the droplets on their way Everything trembles The world knows the wyvern has risen His task protecting nature will ammence In peace with the rain His soul's companion, his tears now shed. ~Two words stuck in my mind all night, wanting to be connected.
